Our next project: a mid-century cocktail cabinet built from the same design language as the Charo. The Alpiste features a fold-down serving surface, internal glass shelf, bottle storage rack, and three drawers below — all in solid reclaimed Australian hardwood with those signature turned legs.

We work exclusively with reclaimed solid timbers sourced locally in Victoria. Common choices include Tasmanian Oak, Blackwood, Victorian Ash, Jarrah, Sassafras, and Huon Pine. Each piece of timber carries its own unique grain, color, and history, ensuring no two Ca La Donna creations are ever the same.
Yes. Many clients bring along reclaimed timber with sentimental or historic value. We also happily source the right timber on your behalf if you don’t have specific boards available. Either way, we’ll work together to design and craft a piece that suits your vision.
Our workshop is based in Warburton, in the Yarra Valley at the foot of Mt Donna Buang. While we primarily serve Melbourne and surrounding regions, clients from further afield often collaborate with us for bespoke projects.
